Hi, my name is Josh Adams.
Check out my long form.
If I had to sum up my work in a sentence, it would be this: I help teams bring clarity to complex work.
I’m a marketing operations and program leader who enjoys building the systems that help creative, product, and marketing teams move forward with confidence. That might mean designing better planning workflows, aligning stakeholders across functions, or simply helping teams focus on what matters most.
My interest in storytelling started long before my career did. As a kid, I would dictate stories to my grandmother for her to type up before I could even write them myself. That early love for narrative eventually evolved into a career that blends communication, systems thinking, and operational leadership.
Professional Background
Over the past 8+ years, I’ve worked across creative strategy, digital marketing, and operations, which gives me a unique perspective on how work actually moves through organizations - and where it tends to break down.
My career has spanned agency, education technology, and digital health environments.
At CBT Nuggets, an online IT training provider, I wrote extensive blog content, helped revitalize dormant social media channels, and managed cross-channel marketing projects.
Later, as a Project Manager at Twenty Ideas, a digital agency in Eugene, Oregon, I led projects for clients across media, health tech, and education while coordinating designers, developers, and marketing stakeholders.
Most recently, I served as Senior Manager of Marketing Operations at RVO Health, partnering with leaders across marketing, lifecycle, product design, and acquisition teams to align priorities and improve how work moved through the organization. During that time, I built intake and reporting frameworks adopted across multiple teams, improved campaign planning processes, and helped drive alignment on initiatives supporting brands like Optum Now, Healthgrades, Novant Health, and the broader RVO Health portfolio.
Across roles, the thread that ties my work together is helping teams make sense of complexity and execute with greater clarity.
Education
I earned my undergraduate degree in Advertising from the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Marketing through the University of Colorado Denver’s fully online program.
Personal Interests
Outside of work and school, I enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest, running the occasional 10K, indulging in cuisine of just about any kind (ask me about my favorite sushi), and obnoxiously singing along to pop music.
Thanks so much for visiting my portfolio. Feel free to drop me a line, I’m always open to connecting and discussing potential collabs.
